French Meat Loaf




Hey, wanna make a killer French Onion Meatloaf? Here's the scoop:
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 eggs
  • ¾ cup water
  • ⅓ cup ketchup
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup ketchup for glaze
  • ¼ cup brown sugar for glaze
  • ½ tablespoon ground mustard for glaze
How to Make It:
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line a baking dish with foil and spray with non-stick spray.
  2. Mix onion soup mix, eggs, water, and ⅓ cup ketchup.
  3. Add ground beef, bread crumbs, and black pepper. Mix gently.
  4. Form into a loaf and bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, or until internal temperature hits 165°F.
  5. Glaze with ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard mixture during last 15-20 minutes.

Meatloaf Recipe INGREDIENTS
  • 1 pound loaf French bread
  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup (8 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 ounces cheddar cheese, sliced

Meatloaf Recipe INSTRUCTIONS

4. Stir in the reserved bread crumbs and eggs; mix well. Spoon into the bread shell and place on a baking sheet.
5. Replace the top and arrange sliced cheddar cheese on top.
